Guideposts I, 10”x8” oil on gessoboard, 2021.
Original oil painting by Tisha Mark.
Painted on Ampersand Gessobord.
This painting is part of my Places of Uncertainty series, which is about the moment when we find ourselves in an unknown or uncertain place or circumstance. There is no way of knowing the ultimate outcome in that moment, but finding the light is what will guide us through. It can be especially challenging to find the light during the cold, dark days of winter. I enjoyed painting this tonalist style piece, creating subtle spaces for the light, while using tall, strong birch trees almost like guideposts showing me the way.
Framed in a simple, elegant black panel floater frame.
Frame measurements are approximately 12 1/8” x 10 1/8” x 7/8”.
Arrives framed and ready to hang.
Please note that I do my best to photograph my artwork as accurately as possible. However, there can be some differences due to lighting, my camera, and variations in how monitors and devices display color.
