This 5”x7” moody, textured seascape is part of a new series of seascapes created in a tonalist style. Inspired by nature and painted from imagination in my studio. This painting features rich textures applied with large brushes and a palette knife to create a sense of movement and energy. Painted with a limited color palette of titanium white, phthalo blue, and burnt umber, and mixed by the artist to create grays, blues, and browns evocative of a visit to the seashore during colder weather months.
